FHE is the best. As you can see we had a blast.
Heather is ready to go in her boots and with her gun!
This one is always packing.
Can't leave texting behind...good thing we were high enough for good cell reception!
Bishop and Bryce. Clay pigeon throwers were everywhere. Some were good and other (like me) needed work.
The shoot out winner, Nate Edwards. I believe that means he just won dinner and since I highlighted him I won a ride in his green jeep!

Mary is quite the shooter and the pigeon thrower.
Lavar Green is quite the shooter...he was kind enough to try and teach me a little bit...took like 3 people to teach me before it actually sunk in!

Everyone got some shooting in. Even those who were quite inexperienced. It was one of the best activities and most interactive we've had. Our bishopric is really supportive of activities like these. In fact Brother Lewis and Beckstead took part in the shooting contest.
Our faithful RS president getting a little bit crazy on the way there! She's a funny girl!
These funny girls are looking out yonder for what was being shot! They add life to our FHE's and activities.
Erin and Alan getting ready to git er done...Alan and Justin were quite the shooters.

Our faithful RS president getting a little bit crazy on the way there! She's a funny girl!
I must say we have quite the fun ward. We went shooting. There was a shoot out that Nate Edwards ended up winning. More pictures will be added later, my battery on my camera died so those are on sister Beckstead's camera.
A night at the Cannery
I am going to try and get the process down for ya, cause it's a pretty complicated deal! It starts out with the peaches being washed and loaded into a big bin where guys get all wet as they take off the leaves. Then they go up the shoot and a few people pick out the mooshy ones. Then they all get put in their little cubby and turned so they can go through the cutter. They then get cut in half and shimmied down the hill into hot steam where they get so hot that the skin wants to come off. Then they get de-pitted as they go up the conveyer belt and then out the shoot they go to where we were standing. we de-pitt the ones that were forgotten and then we make sure they're good and put them on a different conveyer belt. They go into another bit pot and are broght over to the canners and they put them in the can. They go through a hot hot steam oven thingy and i guess that's where they cook and then there is a lot of water and the water gets pushed out of them and a lid goes on the can and is sealed and up the shoot they go to be compressed I think. I'm not sure if they actually get cooked again. But over to boxing they go and off to who knows where in the world! Everytime I go to the cannery I am amazed at Heavenly Father's work! The church is true! It's just too organized and manned from heaven not to be!
Richard and Becca
The Lewises getting crazy with the peaches. You gotta watch out for him, he was throwing them all over the place.
Getting a little crazy with the peach pitters.
Matt and the peach trash. It's amazing how much they throw away. But I guess they've got to get rid of some of them.
Tracy and Lindsey right at the place where it spits them out. They got pretty sticky despite the hair nets, aprons and gloves!!! Peaches R US!
